Quechee, VT- Erika Eleonora Stein, 91, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH .

Eleonora was born August 16, 1926 in Budapest, Hungary, a daughter of Joseph and Violet (Bardos) Riech. At an early age her family moved to New York, NY where she attended the LaGuardia High School for the Arts. She performed in New York on Stage and on cruise lines around the world. She opened the Eleonora Stein Ballet and Arts Academy in Somerset, NJ, and later the Eleonora Stein Academy in Quechee. She devoted her life to dance and dance education.

Eleonora was an avid reader and a devotee of classic films.

She is survived by her sons Haddon Stein and his wife Rosemary of Pennington, NJ and Adrian Stein and his wife Joann of New Brunswick, NJ; and two granddaughters Kaitlin and Alyssa.
