Emily Neidin Fava peacefully passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on May 12, 2018, in the company of her loving family.

Emily was born September 15, 1988 in Nashville TN, the daughter of Roy Fava and Marilyn Welch-Fava. She spent the first 4 years of her life in Nashville with her older sister Alison, her doting parents, various cats, and the next door  neighbor's puppy that Emily named "Chocolate Cake". She was a delightful child, full of curiosity and blessed with a brilliant mind and unique sense of humor that she retained throughout her life.

In 1992 the family moved to Thetford Center, Vt, where Emily attended Thetford Elementary School and Thetford Academy, which she left after her sophomore year. Emily had an innate artistic ability, which she continued to develop independently at home with encouragement from her family.  On the strength of her exceptional drawing and painting portfolio and strong SAT scores, she was admitted to Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY, and later to the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.

Emily returned to Vermont in 2008. She continued to paint while working in the Upper Valley, for several years at Au Bon Pain in DHMC and more recently at the Holiday Inn Express. She leaves behind her parents, her sibling Roman aka Alison, her grandmother Wanda Fava, many cousins, aunts and uncles, friends, her beloved cat Oscar and dog Ivy, and a vast portfolio of amazing art. She will be deeply missed by many friends and family whose lives she touched.
