December 16, 1931 – January 2, 2020
Courageously our father Elmer Arthur Lamica of 88 years departed at 11:50 a.m. on January 2, 2020 and will be headed to "Marble orchard" as dad would always say , "We all go there " I'm sure the lesson we were taught is "Embrace life to the fullest."
Elmer was born in Windsor Vermont to Arthur James and Grace (Hough) Lamica December 16, 1931 . Called to duty to the United States Army where Elmer boldly served his country from 1950 to 1953 in the Korean War and continued his service and Honorably discharged in 1955. Elmer took employment at Pratt & Whitney and United Aircraft in Hartford ,Conn. where he enjoyed working on airplanes. Later moving back to his homeland in Vermont . "Once a Vermonter always a Vermonter ", he'd say. He then took up his employment with Good Year in Windsor where he worked for over 25 years.
Elmer loved to dance and with his wit and charm swept Our Mom Patience Rogers off her feet .They were wed on September 14, 1951 Married for 26 years Elmer and Pat had five children Anna, Linda, James, Susan, Kathryn
Elmer married his 2nd wife Beatice J Potwin Blake sharing the latter part of their life together enjoying music, nature and there extraordinary love for dogs.
He is survived by
Four daughters: Anna G. Lamica, Lynn L. Livingston, Susan C. Holman, Kathryn P. McIntyre and his son James A. Lamica
One daughter in law Gina Cambell

Six G reat Grandchildren, Delilah Lamica, Zachary Lamica, Avianna Lamica, Jordan Michaels, Alyssa Michaels, Lilly Holman
One Sister Pat Dow
Preceded in death by his 2nd Beatrice J. (Blake) Lamica , his grandson Cassidy James Baker, Two brothers (Buster)Leo Lamica, Earl Lamica and one sister Merle Conley.
Clear to see our dad had quite the sense of humor. He was also generous to people down on there luck.
Dad always said," Give me flowers when I'm alive not when when I die."So in honor of our dad we request that "Instead of flowers, That dad would have wanted you to do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some poor unfortunate soul in his name.
A Honorable military service will be held at a later date details to follow
