Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Bohnert

White River Jct., VT - Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Bohnert, 85, died Wednesday March 13, 2019 in Lebanon, NH.

She was born July 17, 1933 in Sherburne, NY a daughter of Clarence A. and Ellen (Branigan) Miner.  Betty grew up in the Sherburne area and graduated from Earlville High School.  She was married to Harold Bohnert shortly after graduation and they lived throughout central New York later settling in Nauvoo, PA where she helped her brother-in-law run the Witt Nursing Home for nearly twenty years.  In 1989 she moved to White River Junction to be near her daughters and soon after started working at 25,000 Gifts, where she worked until retiring when the store closed in 2006.

She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, serving in many ways including Sabbath School Teacher, Treasury and the Prayer Chain.  She also enjoyed visiting and volunteering at the Bugbee Senior Center where she was a member of the Poetry Group and the Together Group.  More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family and travelled around the country to attend her grandchildren's events.

She was predeceased by her father, Clarence Miner; her mother Ellen Hughes, a brother James Miner and an infant son, Kevin.

She leaves her children, Monica Garcia of Mooresville, NC, Melody Runnals (Ed) of Hartford, VT, Bradley Bohnert (Yawen) of Toledo, OH, Melinda Hagelgantz (Mike) of Forest Falls, CA and Marnetta Miller (Earl) of Hartford, VT; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two on the way.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT Friday evening from 6-8PM.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 5PM with the Pastor David Kim officiating.
