White River Junction, VT - Elinor D. Wright, 87, died July 17, 2011 after a short illness.

Elinor was born August 20, 1923 in Fitchburg, MA the daughter of Raymond and Blanch (Whitcomb) DeCoff. Elinor grew up in Pomfret, VT and graduated from Woodstock High School. She was married to Alfred T Wright Jr. May 17, 1951 in White River Junction, VT. Where they lived and operated the Right Printing Company. In 1972 when they moved to the "Mountain" in Sharon and retired there in 1980 . After the death of Alfred June 4, 1992 she continued to live at the home in Sharon for a time, moving back to White River Junction in 1995 where she has lived since.

Elinor was a wonderful mother and wife. She supported her husband in the attendance of fire fighter conventions. She had a green thumb and loved to grow flowers especially violets. She also enjoyed cooking, rug hooking and spending time on the mountain with her beloved family.

Elinor is predeceased by three brothers John, Orville, and Norman DeCoff; two sisters, Barbara Guay and Margaret Clark.

Elinor is survived by a son, Alfred T. Wright III of; a daughter Suzanne Melendy both of Sharon, VT; step-daughter, Charlene Bragg of Thetford, VT eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday July 21st at 4PM in the Hartford Cemetery in White River Junction. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
