Brownsville, VT- Edward M. West, 58, died on March 16, 2025, at his home in Brownsville, VT.
Born May 13, 1966, in Newport, NH to Elwin and Barbara (King) West. He attended the local schools and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career at Twin State Sand and Gravel, where he worked for 13 years, becoming a valued member of their team.
After being together for the better part of ten years, Ed married Deena Hammond in 2005. They shared 28 years of love, laughter, and the joy of raising their family.
An avid outdoorsman, Ed loved logging, farming, and running equipment. He was always busy, whether working or helping others. His kindness and willingness to lend a hand left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
He was predeceased by his father, Elwin M. West, Sr., his sister, Susan West, and his uncle, James Menard, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Deena Hammond West, his children, Tristan M. West, Stacey Vail (Matthew), Sarah West, Travis West (Tabetha), Cortland Hammond (Keyleigh), and Brandon Stellar (Christal White). He is also survived by his mother, Barbara J. West, and his brothers, Elwin West, Jr., Scott West, Glen West, Tim West (Kristen). He will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren he loved very much; his brothers in law, Leslie Hammond (Cindy Stillwell), Scott Hammond, aunt Sandy Menard, and uncles Ronald and Richard King.
A graveside service will take place in the Sheddsville Cemetery in Brownsville at 11am on Saturday, April 26th, 2025. A celebration of life will follow at 1pm at the Brownsville Town Hall.
