CORNISH, NH
Edward F. Pierce, Jr., 61, a resident of Cornish and formerly of Brownsville, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 28 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 26, 1956 in Pittsfield, MA the son of Edward F. and Mae (Williams) Pierce. He received his schooling in Windsor and attended Windsor High School. He worked with his father at Ed Pierce Construction in Brownsville for many years, and later for Perini Construction in Portsmouth, NH, Casella Waste Management as a Fleet Manger and most recently for Miller Construction in Windsor. He married Lisa Martaniuk in October of 1976 and they were divorced in July of 2004. He married his longtime companion, Sherrie Bulkeley in Cornish on April 9, 2017.
Ed greatly enjoyed restoring antique cars with his sons and his longtime friend Dennis Brown.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Pierce of Cornish, three sons, Edward F. Pierce, III of Brownsville, VT, Gregory J. Pierce of Springfield, NH and Chris M. Horstman of Weathersfield, VT, two grandchildren, Trevor and Alexis Piece of Lebanon, NH, two stepdaughters, Sarah Bulkeley of Proctorsville, VT, and Emily Bulkeley of Boston, MA, one stepson, Ben Bulkeley of Portland, ME, two sisters, Shirley Ouellette of Brownsville, VT and Pamela Pope of Ogden, UT , and several nieces and nephews.
At his request a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 10:00 AM at the Brownsville Cemetery in West Windsor. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Brownsville Grange Hall.
His family wishes to acknowledge and thank, Maggie Moore at the Oncology Department at Mt. Ascutney Hospital.
