Obituary

Wilder, VT – Edward F. Patriquin, 52, died Wednesday afternoon, January 21, at his home in Wilder, VT after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 11, 1962 in Waltham, MA the son of Warren Patriquin and Louise (Foster) Patriquin. He grew up in Hartland and graduated from Hartford High School class of 1981.
Ed was a skilled carpenter, beginning his career at the Old Mill Cabinet Shop in Hartland. He worked on many large projects throughout the Dartmouth College area, and had a great eye for detail. Ed volunteered his time and talents to many causes during his life. He was very active in his son's Boy Scout troop, assisting with projects and camp activities. He proudly served for more than thirty years as a Deputy Game Warden for the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department. He shared his passion for the outdoors with his children, teaching them all he knew about hunting and fishing while instilling in them a love and respect for the outdoors. Ed cherished his role as father to his five children. He put them first and never missed an opportunity to attend their concerts, scouting, or sporting events. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Debra and their five children, Elyse, Emma, Natalie, Luke, and Nina; his mother, Louise James of Hartland; his sister, Marcia Newcomb of Georgetown, SC, his brothers, Kevin Patriquin of Rock Springs,WY, Robert Patriquin of Manchester, NH, Thomas Patriquin of Lindenhurst, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon, January 25, from 2-4PM at the Wilder Center on Route Five in Wilder, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, January 26, at 11AM at St. Anthony Church in White River Jct., VT.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department's Hunter Education Program.
