Newport, VT- Edward E. Hunt, Jr, 99, former resident of West Hartford, CT died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Ed was born April 25, 1918 in New Britain, CT a son of Edward E, Sr. and Lotte (Latour) Hunt. Ed was married to the love of his life Silvia Cullum on December 5, 1942. He then left to serve his country during WWII in the US Army Signal Corps. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to West Hartford where he started Huntress Electronics eventual taking a contract with Motorola and expanding his business to cover the whole of New England.

Ed was a member of St John Episcopal Church in West Hartford and served as a lay reader. He was a member and a leader for the Hartford CT area Civil Defense. Ed loved to listen to music and record when ever he could. His true passion, were electronics, not only did he profit from working on them they brought him hours of delight.

There will be a private committal service at the Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, CT at a later date. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT assisted with the arrangements.
