Norwich, VT- Edward N. Clark, 93, died February 28, 2017 at Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon, NH.
Ed was born August 26, 1923 in Cambridge, MA, a son of Everett S. and Florence (Barber)Clark. He grew up and attended school in East Longmeadow and Later Agawam, MA. Ed served his country honorably in the Army during WWII, 1943-45 in Panama. He was married to the love of his life Nancy Thomas on March 30, 1946 in Springfield, MA. He worked as a carpenter for various companies. They moved to Norwich, VT in 1971 and he worked as a carpenter for the Quechee Club.
Ed had over 35 years of service with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the University Grange #335 in Norwich and a 70 year member of the Odd Fellows and a current member of the Mascoma Lodge 20.
Ed is predeceased by he beloved wife Nancy Clark and a brother Richard A. Clark.
He survived by a daughter Phyllis Hiltpold of Longmeadow, MA; three sons Robert E. Clark of Thetford, VT, Donald T. Clark of Lee, ME and Kenneth M. Clark of Ft. Myers, FL; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister Ellen Porter Ludlow, MA.
A memorial service will be held 1pm on Saturday, March 25 at the United Church of Thetford in North Thetford. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT. Knight Funeral Home in White river Junction assisted with arrangements.
