BROWNSVILLE, VT
Edith M. Marshall, 82, a former resident of Brownsville, passed away Monday afternoon, April 16 at her home in Ludlow.
She was born October 7, 1929 in Salem, MA the daughter of William H. and Mary Louise (Trask) Gamble. She received her schooling in Boxford and Topsfield, MA and graduated from Topsfield High School. She graduated from the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She married Norman M. Marshall in Exeter, NH on November 19, 1955. Mrs. Marshall was employed as a registered nurse at various hospitals most of her life, and most recently at the Danvers State Hospital in Danvers MA. She had resided in Boxford, MA most of her married life. She moved to Brownsville in 2000 and to Ludlow in 2010.
She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.
Mr. Marshall passed away in 1970. She was also predeceased by her parents and one brother, William Gamble and one sister, Katherine Noyes.
Survivors include one daughter, Paula M. Waters and her husband, Dana of Brownsville, VT, two grandsons, Benjamin Waters and his wife, Karey, of Perkinsville, VT and Matthew Waters and his wife, Kathryn, also of Perkinsville, VT, two brothers, Raymond Gamble and George Gamble, two sisters, Ruth Rollins and Jane Durkee, all of Massachusetts, several nieces and nephews.
At her request a graveside service will be held Saturday, April 21 at 1:00 PM at the Boxford Village Cemetery in Boxford, MA.

The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor is entrusted with the arrangements.
