Edith G. Beliveau
White River Jct., VT - Edith G. Beliveau, 89, died Tuesday July 19th at the Westboro house in West Lebanon, NH.
She was born August 24, 1921 in Swanton, VT a daughter of Edward J. and Lottie (Stearns) Donaldson. Edith attended school in Swanton where she worked on the family farm. She moved to the Upper Valley and worked as a private housekeeper. She was married to Norman Beliveau August 28, 1953 in Norwich and they lived most of their married life in White River Jct. Edith later worked in housekeeping at the Norwich Inn and at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover twenty years, retiring in 1986. Mrs. Beliveau has been a resident at Westboro House in West Lebanon for the past 3 years.
She was a former member of the Grange in Swanton and enjoyed visiting with friends and family, walking, gardening and music.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norman in 1999; a sister Ruth Meigs, a half sister Alva Ballard as well as a brother C. Edward Donaldson and two half brothers Ambrose and Carlton Donaldson.
She is survived by a sister Alta Nardine, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10AM Saturday in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westboro House Activities Fund, 11 Elm Street West, West Lebanon, NH 03748.
