Brownsville, VT – Eda G. McAllister, 88, died Tuesday October 1, 2019 at Genesis Healthcare Lebanon Center.

She was born June 25, 1931 in Windsor, VT a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Simonelli) Garcia. Eda attended Windsor High School and was later married to Kenneth L. McAllister Dec 2, 1968 in Weathersfield Bow.  She worked at the Goodyear plant in Windsor for several years until they closed and more recently worked at Timken Aerospace in West Lebanon before retiring in 1993.

Eda was a member of the American Legion Post 25 Auxiliary in Windsor and the Senior Center in Claremont.  In her free time, Eda enjoyed dancing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with family and her dear friends.

She was predeceased by a son Gary Quimby in 1978 as well as three sisters, Margaret Godfrey, Julia Flood and Ramona Demeter.

She leaves her daughter, Cathleen Ackerman and husband Richard of Davenport, FL; grandchildren Richard Ackerman Jr. and wife Amy of Lebanon, NH and Ross Ackerman and wife Keri of Carrie, NC; four great grandchildren Isabelle, Ava, Cooper and Ella; one sister Josephine Jarvis of Claremont, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Weathersfield Bow Cemetery.
