Wilder, VT – Earl Carlton Bushor, 80, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, Faith Bushor, by his side on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Jack Byrne Center at DHMC in Lebanon, NH.

He was born April 3, 1943, in Windsor, VT, son of the late Addie (Smarden) and Joseph Bushor. He grew up in Windsor, Vermont and graduated from Windsor High School, Class of 1961. He completed his A.A.S. degree from New Hampshire Technical Institute, Manchester, NH, Class of 1963. He married his high school sweetheart, Faith Westney, May 2, 1964, at the Martin Memorial Hall in Ascutney, VT. They were married for nearly 60 years. Earl joined the family business, Mower's News Service, after college, as an automotive technician. He later purchased the business, retiring in 2014 after nearly 50 years at the company.

Earl had many passions in life. Early on in life, his parents, sister, and he were members of the Blue Mountain Riding Club based in Windsor, VT. He trained and showed his talented registered palomino stallion, Corsair's Silver Star. He was a hunting and car enthusiast. He enjoyed time trial racing with his 1969 Chevy Corvette and 1986 IROC Z-28 at the track in Loudon, NH along with his son, neighbor, and friend. In his free time, he enjoyed summers at the lake with family and friends partaking in swimming, water-skiing, and boating. First at the Westney's family camp on Brat Cove on Lake Sunapee and later at Mascoma Lake.

Earl was humorous, witty, and a wealth of information. Throughout his life and into retirement, he was pleased to share his knowledge to benefit others. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Faith Bushor; son; Timothy Bushor (Lisa), White River Junction, VT; daughter, Amanda Bushor (William Purdy), Wilder & Burlington, VT; granddaughters, Jenna Sawyer (Tyler), Essex, VT, and Jillian Bushor (Madelyn Schefer), Medford, MA; great-grandson, Westley Sawyer; and sister, Coralyn Bushor, Windsor, VT.

Earl Bushor's service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023. 11:00 am Graveside Service Ascutneyville Cemetery, Ascutney, VT (I-91, Exit 8) followed by a 1:00 pm Celebration of Life at the Wilder Clubhouse and Library, 78 Norwich Avenue, Wilder, VT; memorial donations are appreciated to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of NH & VT.
