Duane B. Chamberlain passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 74 in Myrtle beach, SC.

He will be fondly remembered for his ability to put a smile on everyone's face with some of his quirky sayings or expressions he would make. He would help anyone, do anything at the drop of a hat and made friends wherever he went, talking to anyone and everyone. He loved tinkering on any kind of project, building things, going to the VFW for a ginger ale and a couple rip off tickets, and dogs - he loved his golden retrievers!

Duane grew up in Hartford and attended Hartford high school, then enlisted in the US Army serving time in Vietnam.

In recent years he would spend his summers living at the Mascoma Lake campground with his wife Fran and dog Cooper. Duane spent much of his time riding around on his golf Cart with his dog. He would then look forward to traveling to Myrtle beach to escape the Vermont winters.

He is survived by his wife, Fran, whom he was married to for 29 years; daughter Melissa Gove (Tony), stepson Brandon Joslyn (Molly Ireland); grandchildren Malayna Joslyn, Jackson Ireland Pelillo, Leticia and Anthony Gove; and his beloved Golden, Cooper. He is also survived by his four sisters; Kathy McGrail of Boscawen NH, Jessie and Martha of South Carolina and Betty of Maine.

He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Evelyn chamberlain; brothers Paul, Billy, and Jimmy; and sisters Rachel, Margaret, and Evelyn,

He was a life member of the White River junction VFW auxiliary post #2571 and a member of the Lebanon legion post #22.

Calling hours will be on Sunday January 5, 2025 from 1-4pm at Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, followed by a burial at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:00.
