Sunapee, NH- Dorothy L. Roberts, 89, formerly of West Lebanon, NH died Tuesday evening at the Clough Center in New London, NH.
She was born April 16, 1920 in West Lebanon, NH a daughter of Charles B. and Florence (Plummer) Drake. She graduated from West Lebanon High School class of 1937. She was married to Philip J. Roberts January 2, 1941 and they raised their family in West Lebanon. After her children were grown she worked in the office at the Co-Op Food Store in Hanover, NH retiring after 18 years of service.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of the West Lebanon Congregational Church and enjoyed needlework, rug braiding and square dancing with the Twin State Squares.
She is predeceased by her husband; three brothers, Edward Drake, Kenneth Drake and Wayne Drake and also two sisters Marion Duncklee and Millicent True.
She is survived by a daughter Judith R. Alger of Enfield, NH; two sons Philip J. Roberts Jr. of Morrill, ME and Kenneth E. Roberts of Sunapee, NH; grandchildren Kenneth R. Alger, Bethanie L. Prescott, Drake Roberts, Emily Roberts, Seth Roberts and Byron Roberts; great-grandchildren W. Aaron Prescott and Andrew Philip Prescott as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the West Lebanon Cemetery at a later date in May.
