Dorothy "Ann" Choquette
White River Junction,VT- Dorothy "Ann" Choquette, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Ann was born December 23, 1928 in Hartford, VT the ninth child of Carl W. and Caroline (Wallace) Cameron. She worked at New England Telephone as an operator while she attended high school. Ann graduated form Hartford High School class of 1946. She then went to work for AG Dewey Company, and was married to J. Richard "Dick" Choquette September 17, 1949. In 1961 Ann went to work for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River junction, retiring in 1992. Dick passed away in 1991. Ann was remarried October 19, 2002 to Dennis H. Raymond, they enjoyed wintering in Sebring, FL.
Ann was a soft spoken strong woman, who was able to overcome challenges without bringing any attention to her own aliments.
She loved to travel the world, spending time at the beach or at the poolside, where she would read, work on puzzles, eat chocolate, or refine her pallet searching for the best cheeseburger. Ann enjoyed spending time on the ballroom floor dancing or at the golf links. Talking with friends of whom she had many, due to her magnetic personality. But her true passion was her family and the time she spent with them.
She is predeceased by three brothers, Wallace, Everett, and Jenness Cameron; and five sisters, Charlotte Champney, Margery Heneage, Mary Young, Caroline Twiss, and Susan Watson.
She is survived by her husband Dennis H. Raymond of White River Junction; daughter Denise Choquette of South Strafford, VT; two granddaughters, Jodi Schollaert of Canonsburg, PA and Jennifer Gray of Cambridge, VT and Many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction from 6-8PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at St. Anthony's in White River Junction at 11AM.
