Doris A. Fowler
Wilder, VT- Doris A. Fowler, 86, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder, VT.
Doris was born October 16, 1925 in New Haven, CT, the daughter of Charles P. and Agnes(Bresnan) Ryan. She graduated from Commercial High School class of 1943. She later moved to the Stowe area where she worked as a secretary for the Stowe Area Association for a time. She then went work at the Mountaineer Motor Inn where she met her future husband Kenneth Fowler and was married to him in 1967 in Plainfield, VT. She later went to work for Havog Industries in Colchester, VT where she worked until retiring in the early 1980's. They then moved to Wilder and made it home.
Doris enjoyed watching television, playing with her kitty cat and most of all being surrounded by her family.
She is predeceased by her two brothers, Lincoln and Kenneth Ryan.
Doris survived by her loving husband Kenneth Fowler of Wilder, a son Thomas Hill of Burlington, VT; a daughter Joanne E. Hill of Denver, CO and grandchildren Georgia and Homer Hill of Brooklyn, NY and Holley Tudhope of Tampa, FL.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 9, 2012 at 11AM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction followed by interment in the Christian Street Cemetery in Wilder.
