Dora E. Joslyn

Windsor, VT — Dora E. Joslyn, 97, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Stoughton House in Windsor, VT.

Dora was born November 22, 1928, in Marlow, NH, the daughter of Daisey Kimball. She graduated from Canaan High School in 1946. On July 14, 1946, she married Alfred Joslyn. They made their home in White River Junction and later in Cornish, NH.

Dora worked for a time at the Valley News before taking a position at Dartmouth Printing, where she remained until her retirement in 1994.

She loved cooking and shopping and was an exceptional knitter. During the holidays, family and friends could always count on receiving a couple pairs of what many considered the best socks in the world. Dora’s greatest joy came from visiting with others, especially spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred “Al” Joslyn, sr, in 2003; her son, Alfred R. Joslyn, Jr., in 2023; and her sister, Helen May.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana and her husband, Harry, of Chester, VT; her grandson, Jeffrey; her great-grandson, Michael; and her great-great-grandsons, Hayes and Waylon, all of Nantucket; her grandchildren, Jessica and Robb of West Henrietta, NY; and her beloved daughter-in-law, Lee of Turkey Hill, TN.

In keeping with Dora’s wishes, there will be no service.
