WINDSOR, VT

Donna K. Duling, 76, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 10 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

She was born August 2, 1941 in Windsor the daughter of Clarence J. and Ruth (Barron) Hood. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1959. She married Francis E. Duling in Windsor on June 6, 1964. Donna was employed as a bookkeeper for several area businesses, and later with her father at the former Goodyear Employees Credit Union in Windsor. She also prepared income taxes for many Windsor residents for several years.

She served on the Windsor School Board and as a Lister for the Town of Windsor and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor. She also was a member of the Windsor Elks Lodge #1665 and the Windsor American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary.

Mrs. Duling enjoyed baking and gardening, spending time with her cats and her dear friends in Wells, Maine. She also was fond of relaxing by watching birds and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Mr. Duling passed away in 1994. She was also predeceased by her parents, two sons, Jeffrey Duling in 2018 and Chad Duling in 1970, and by one daughter, Theresa Duling-Herb in 1999.

Survivors include one son, Francis E. Duling, Jr. of Windsor, two grandchildren, Jessica and Nicole Duling of Springfield, VT, three great grandchildren, Cameron, Addyson and Maliyah, one brother, James E. Hood and his wife, Gwen of Saxtons River, VT, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The funeral service will be begin at 4:00 PM also at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles R. Danielson, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, officiating. Committal services will be held at a later date in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Windsor.
