West Lebanon , NH- Dominic Joseph Digilio Jr. 88, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his home in West Lebanon, NH with his wife and caregiver Cathy Gigure by his side.
Dominic was born in New London, NH, son of Dominic J and Joan
(Piro) Diglilio. He attended a one room school house in Newbury, NH grades one through seven. He graduated from Toll High School, Newport, NH in 1948. Later he graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the US Army. He worked for The NH Department of Highways and Roads for 43 years as a project engineer supervising the construction of interstates, roads and bridges throughout the state of NH.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Carl and Robert. Dominic enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, animals and working on his family's farm. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and family.
Dominic is survived by his beloved wife Mafelda (Albanese) Digilo of West Lebanon, his daughters Joanne Meziane of Wakefield, MA, Jeanne Fanger and her husband Christopher of Bolton, MA, his three grandchildren Juliana Meziane, Ryan and Alison Fanger, sister Rosina Stark of Burlington, MA, and brothers Joseph and Richard Digilio both of Newbury, NH along with many nieces and nephews. Also his fantastic caregivers, Cheryl Heater, April Venegas, Kathy Rowell, Cathy Giguere, Karen Lanzetta, Nancy Ashey and Michelle Hammond.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, November 7, at 12:00 noon at St. Anthony's Church in White River Jct., VT. Burial will be held at a later date in the Lakeside Cemetery in Newbury, NH.
