Norwich, VT – Diona Ordway (Randall) Rimmel, 60, died Saturday morning, December 30, 2017 at her home in Norwich, VT. She was born October 15, 1957 in Hanover, NH the daughter of Oliver and Georgia (Spencer) Randall.
Diona lived her entire life in Union Village, VT with the exception of ten years in her twenties when she lived in Boston, MA. She was a graduate of Hanover High School and later the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, MA where she majored in financial studies. Diona began her career in the financial sector in the Boston Financial District. She returned to Union Village and the upper valley area in 1986, following the death of her mother, to help care for her aging father. Diona worked as a financial advisor for Resources Investments Incorporated. August 31, 1991, she married Jay Jackson Rimmel and they made their home in Union Village.
Gardening and antiques were her favorite interests second only to the love of her dogs.
Diona is survived by her husband and a sister, Dawn Randall of Claremont, NH and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening, January 3, from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT. Memorial service will be held Thursday morning, Jan. 4, at 10AM at the Union Village Church in Norwich, VT with Rev. Bertha Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756 or to the animal rescue charity of one's choice.
