DOVER, NH
Dennis M. Willson, 85, a former longtime resident of Dover, passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Cedar Hill Continuing Healthcare Center in Windsor, VT.
He was born December 24, 1930 in Lunenburg, VT the son of John Q. and Annette (Walker) Willson. He received his schooling in Lunenburg and Concord, VT, and graduated from Concord High School in 1948. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Following his honorable discharge he returned to Vermont. He married Ramona "Betty" Woods in Lunenburg on June 28, 1953. Mr. Willson was employed as a linesman for the New England Telephone Company in Portsmouth and Somersworth, NH for thirty five years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Somersworth and enjoyed antiquing.
Mrs. Willson passed away in 2007. He was also predeceased by two brothers, John and Paul, and five sisters, Jean, Winnifred, Barbara, Edna and Priscilla.
Survivors include two daughters, Deanna A. Rounds and her husband, Stephen of Hartland Four Corners, VT and Linda K. Willson of Venice, FL, two grandsons, Eric Brown of North Port, FL and Michael Brown, currently serving in the US Marine Corp stationed in Japan, and his wife Danielle and their children, Hannah and Ethan Brown, one sister-in-law, Theresa Lewis and her husband, Thomas of Lunenburg, VT, many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
