Obituary

Sharon, VT – Deborah Koloski, 58, died Sunday September 19th at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a lengthy illness.

She was born October 29, 1951 in Bennington, Vermont, a daughter of Harold and Arlene (Tudor) Dockum. She attended Black River High School in Ludlow and later worked various jobs including as a nurse's aid at the state hospital in Waterbury, VT, at Mack Molding in Cavendish and GW Plastics in Bethel and most recently as a cook at the Fabulous 50's Carhop until she wasn't able to work due to declining health. She married Randy Koloski in July of 1994, they lived in White River Jct., for a time and have lived in Sharon since 1998.

Deborah enjoyed snowmobiling when her health was better and was a past member of the Hurricane Riders in Hartford, she was a member of Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post 2571 Auxiliary and Post 26 American Legion Axially both in White River Jct.

She enjoyed cooking and crocheting things to give to other people and was especially talented at crocheting; having taken first place at the Tunbridge World's Fair for an afghan she made a few years ago. Deborah had a special place in her heart for children and animals and particularly loved her cat Abbey and dog Joy.

She will be sorely missed and never forgotten by her family and friends who are now at ease after many years of watching her courageously battle illness. They wish to give a special thanks to all of her personal care assistants.

She is predeceased by her father and her brother Thomas Dockum.

She is survived by her husband Randy of Sharon, her mother Arlene of Cavendish, a brother Peter Dockum of Ludlow, two sisters Paula Cole of Rutland and Harriett White of Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Cavendish Center Cemetery in Cavendish.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the White River VFW Post #2571 Ladies Auxiliary PO Box 282, White River Junction, VT 05001 or the South Royalton Area Senior Center PO Box 344, South Royalton, VT 05068.
