Obituary

CLAREMONT, NH
David L. Wright, 49, a resident of Claremont and formerly of Windsor, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 24 at his home in Claremont.
He was born February 13, 1962 at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine the son of Dennis and Ruth (Cooke) Wright. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1980. He was a veteran of the US Army serving with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Grenada Invasion. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed as an electrician for several years until becoming disabled.
David greatly enjoyed kids and loved to watch his children, his nieces and nephews participate in many local sporting events. He found great comfort in the peacefulness of spending time in the woods while hunting or watching a garden grow whether it was flowers or vegetables for all to enjoy. He was an avid coin collector and an amazing cook. He was also fond of spending time with his family and pets. He spent many hours putting together puzzles, reading and watching car racing.
Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Ruth Wright of Windsor, one son, Blake Coleman Wright of Rutland, VT, one daughter, Abigail Lorissa Wright of Windsor, four brothers, Jeffrey Wright and his wife, Kelly of Bradford, VT, Robert Wright and his wife, Lisa of Windsor, Kevin Wright and his wife, Betsy of West Lebanon, NH and Jere Wright of Brattleboro, VT, one sister, Susan Wright Russell and her husband, Michael of Ascutney, VT, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 3 at 2:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor with the Rev. Amanda Lape-Freeberg, Pastor of the Old South Congregational Church in Windsor, Officiating. Committal services and a celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans at 333½ Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, Washington D.C. 20003-1148.
