WINDSOR, VT
David J. McHugh, 63, a resident of Windsor, passed away Thursday evening, February 25th at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT.
He was born May 23, 1946 in Winchester, MA the son of Thomas F. and Maryann (LaVoie) McHugh. He attended school in Burlington, MA and worked as a mechanic and auto body repairman. David has lived in the Windsor area for the past twenty years.
He loved the Red Sox, racing and music and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Windsor Elks Lodge #1665 and the Sons of the American Legion Post 25 also in Windsor.
David was predeceased by his father and a brother Thomas F. McHugh Jr.
Survivors include his mother of Melbourne, FL, one son, David J. McHugh Jr. of Townsend, MA; three daughters Linda Saucier of Tyngsboro, MA, Patricia Carroll of Nashua, NH, and Lisa Renaud of Southbridge, MA; eight grandchildren, one brother, Joseph McHugh of Windsor; one sister Carol Costa of Palm Bay, FL and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 6 at 12:00 Noon, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor. The Rev. Rene Butler, M.S., Pastor will officiate.
