WINDSOR, VT
David J. Hood, 59, a lifelong resident of Windsor, passed away peacefully Monday evening, April 17 at his home in Windsor, with his wife Lori at his side.
He was born February 8, 1958 in Windsor the son of Lee B. and Louise (Buckman) Hood. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in the Class of 1977. David married Lori Cross in Windsor on September 26, 1982. He was a self employed carpenter for many years. He was fond of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed spending time at his camp in Concord. VT. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
He was a member of the Windsor Elks Lodge #1665.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty five years, Lori Hood of Windsor, three daughters, Caitlyn Merriam and her husband, Ben of Claremont, NH, Chelsea Bevis and her husband, Adam of Windsor and Carlin Hood, also of Windsor, three grandchildren, Cooper and Lee Bevis, both of Windsor and Wesley Merriam of Claremont, one brother, Lee R. "Bob" Hood and his wife, Carol Norton of Windsor and Naples, FL, one sister, Bonnie Hood-Weaver and her husband, Jack of Windsor, many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
At David's request there will be no formal public services.
