White River Junction, VT- David A. "Davy" Durkee, 37, died Friday, February 16, 2024, following a motor vehicle accident in Royalton, VT.

Davy was born October 19, 1986, in Randolph, VT, a son of David and Sandy Lee (Moses) Durkee. He grew up in Tunbridge and Strafford and graduated from Chelsea High School in 2005. Davy worked in the family business, Stone Way Works, in White River Junction. He also worked numerous other seasonal jobs over the years including autobody repair and fabrication.

Davy was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing. He loved to build and race cars, helping others with their projects and building outlaw mini stock cars with his father. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but his greatest joy and number one priority was his son.

Davy is predeceased by his paternal grandparents James Durkee, Sr. and Eleanor Durkee; a sister Nicole Moses and a niece Neveah Moses. He is survived by his son David A. Durkee, III; his father Dave and wife Michelle Durkee; mother, Sandy Lee Jones; three brothers, Jesse Durkee, Brandon Durkee, and Kyle Davis; a sister, Marie Kurutza; two stepbrothers, Danny and Liam Vezina; several aunts and uncles; and twelve nieces and nephews. The Durkee family wanted to express a deep apology if they happened to miss mentioning anyone, there were so many that he had touched over the years, too many to mention.
