IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel R.
Aremburg, Jr.
September 4, 1966 – November 24, 2025
Sharon, VT- Daniel R. Aremburg, Jr., 59, died unexpectedly at his workplace on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Dan was born September 4, 1966, in Bellows Falls, VT to Daniel, Sr. and Ellen (Erwin) Aremburg. Raised in the Upper Valley, Dan attended Lebanon High School before voluntarily entering the service after graduation. Here he learned diesel mechanics, a set of skills that shaped much of his life and career.
Dan loved camping with his family near Mascoma Lake, hosting and enjoying family BBQ's, tubing down the river that flowed past his home, and spending summer days at Old Orchard Beach. He had a soft spot for "Goofy", his favorite Disney character, and he enjoyed following NASCAR.
Dan was a dedicated worker, a family man through and through, and someone who showed up for the people he cared about. Supportive and steady, he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, usually with a big grin everyone knew so well. Those who knew Dan knew he could be stubborn and blunt, which worked well with his nickname "Dicky" from school. Even that was part of his charm. Beneath the occasional roughness was a loyal heart, a generous spirit, and someone who cared fiercely for his people- especially his grandchildren, and great-grandson William, who brought him great joy and a special glow. You couldn't tell his biological kids from his step or adoptive kids; he treated them all like his own.
Dan leaves behind his wife, Virginia Smith, his children, Daniel R. Aremburg, III of North Hampton, NH, Amber Poole of Lisbon, NH and Garrett Aremburg of Sharon, step and adopted children, Debra Cross, Logan Audsley, Parker Audsley, Rebecca Audsley, Kim Sanderson, and Erika Horta; 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; his siblings, Eric Aremburg of Unity, NH, Wanda King of White River, Kim Edwards of Ludlow, and Melissa Evans of Lebanon, as well as countless nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends and loved ones.
A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 1-3pm. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook found at www.knightfuneralhomes.com
