West Lebanon, NH – Dana R. Lund, 62, died on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Jack Byrne Center at DHMC in Lebanon, NH, after a hard-fought battle with lung and brain cancer.

Dana was born on November 22, 1962, in Upper Sandusky, OH, the son of Stanley and Judith (Boutwell) Lund. He was raised in Upper Sandusky, OH. In 1980, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as an aircraft structural mechanic aboard the USS Independence. After his discharge, he moved to Island Pond, later residing in Norwich, White River Junction, and Cornish before purchasing a recreational vehicle and relocating to Florida in 2013. He returned to Vermont in 2014, where he met his partner, Lori Cochran, and they made their home in West Lebanon.

Dana was a hardworking man who loved working with his hands. Throughout his career, he held positions at SD Ireland, Thermal Dynamics, and several automotive garages, most recently working at Sheridan Printing until health issues forced him to retire.

An avid outdoorsman, Dana enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending as much time as possible in nature. When he wasn't actively hunting, he was watching hunting shows. He was also a fan of Formula One, motorcycle, and dirt track racing and enjoyed watching westerns and action movies.

Dana is survived by his two sons, Will Lund of Vershire, VT, and Zeke Lund of Denver, CO; his fiancée, Lori Cochran of West Lebanon; three sisters, Penny Lund of Mansfield, OH, Cathleen Lund of Sharon, VT, and Hollie Ross of North Troy, VT; and two brothers, A.J. Lund of Warren, VT, and Robert Hook of Dalton, NH.
