Cynthia Louise (Brown) Prior, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, February 4th, at DHMC.

Cynthia was born on September 2nd, 1935, in Wilder, VT, the eldest daughter of the late George and Beatrice (LaBombard) Brown. Cynthia was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert S. Prior, and is survived by her four children, Patricia Prior of Glendale, AZ, Debra Prior Gonzales of Princeton, NJ, Deanna Prior Roberts (Wallace Morton) of Enfield, NH, and Robert G. Prior (Samantha Prior) of White River Jct., VT. She also leaves eight Grandchildren, Matthew Prior, Daniel, Emmanuel and Ashleah Gonzales, Seth and Josh Roberts, and Shayla and Tarin Prior, as well as two Great-Grandchildren, Kenzie and Ezra Gonzales.

Cynthia was the oldest of eight children, Ernest Brown, Joan Ducharme, Robert Brown, Dorothy Aloisio, Gloria Parisi, Shirley Clements and William Brown. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

Cynthia spent her entire life in the Connecticut River Valley; she enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with her family. Prior to the death of her husband they enjoyed many years of dancing and Cynthia always loved country and western music. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly.

Calling hours will be held at Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT, Wednesday, February 8th, from 7-9 PM. A graveside service will be held in the Hartford Cemetery Thursday June 7th at 11AM.
