Corrinne Grace Cassidy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 9, 2022 at The Village in White River Junction, Vermont. Corrinne was born on June 27, 1927 in New York City, NY to Beatrice and Joseph Secondo. She was one of three Children.
Corrinne attended local schools when she was young. She was a life-long learner and was always eager to further her education. She graduated from Saint Thomas Acquinas College with a degree in Gerontology at age 64 and received a certification to teach English as a second language at the age of 80.
Corrinne was married to David Cassidy on June 14, 1959 and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together, living much of their life in New Jersey and Pennsylvania before retiring to Hanover, NH in 1995. Corrinne lived a life of passion and purpose. She loved daisies and grand-babies, books, woodworking, painting and being outdoors skiing and hiking. At age 69 Corrinne and David section hiked the Appalachian Trail and in her 80s she become a weight lifting champion for her age group.
Most of all, Corrinne loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her faith family at Thetford Baptist Church. She often commented, "He loved me first". Her strong faith was an example to all who knew her.
Corrinne was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Secondo, and sons Richard and Michael Monaco.
In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her brother, Richard Anthony; children, Suzann Weaverling, Ruth Cassidy and David Cassidy Jr.; her six grandchildren, Tina Sailley, Cinnamon Martin, Amanda Monaco, Margo McGann, John Cassidy and Matthew Cassidy; eight great grandchildren, Alyssa Stegman, Paige Venuti, Megan Brock, Bayli Martin, Brandon Martin, Christopher Marshall, Ashley Tan, and Theodore McGann and three great-great grandchildren Philip and Benjamin Venuti and Dean Brock.
Corrinne lived a full life and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at The Village and Bayada Hospice for their wonderful care.
A service of remembrance and celebration will be held on Friday, May 20th at 2:00pm at the Thetford Baptist Church in East Thetford, VT. In addition, the service will be streamed at Thetfordbaptistchurch.org using the Sunday morning link.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Thetford Baptist Church. All donations will be used to support the Church's mission fund.
