Obituary
Wilder, VT - Constance Trottier Reed, 97, died at her home in Wilder on Monday January 7, 2012.
Connie was born on March 24, 1915 in Lebanon, NH, the daughter of Donat B. and Marguerite Trottier. She graduated from Hartford High School and the University of Vermont.
For nearly forty years Connie was an elementary school teacher. She became the principal of Wilder School and retired in 1980. She then worked for ten years at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
She was the devoted wife of Norman Reed from 1950 until his death in 1989.
She was an avid gardener and reader but her greatest pleasure came from time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Gay, and his wife, Darell, of Brooklyn, NY; her son, Jay, and his wife, Gail, of Secaucus, NJ; and by her grandchildren, Benjamin and Genna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction on Wednesday January 9th from 2-4PM with an informal prayer service at 3:45.
