Enfield, NH - Colleen Rose Murphy, 68, died Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Jack Byrne Center at DHMC in Lebanon, NN, with her beloved sister Caroline by her side.

Colleen was born July 7, 1954, in Rutland, VT, to parents Richard and Ara (McPike) Murphy. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1972 and began working for Dartmouth College, from which she retired as an administrative assistant in 2020.

Colleen found great joy in her passion for animals. She adored her dog Otis, Duchess the cat, and many other pets throughout her life. She had a special connection to the bears, deer and other creatures that appeared in her yard, to the seagulls on the shore, the whales she saw on trips off the New England coast, and the giraffes and other animals featured on her favorite zoo-cams.

A woman of deep faith, Colleen belonged to Our Lady of LaSalette Shrine Parish in Enfield, NH. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated there on Thursday, July 6th, at 10 a.m. Burial near her parents will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in White River Junction, VT.
