IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Colin P.
Judd
March 20, 1964 – September 11, 2022
Sharon, VT - Colin P. Judd, 58, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at home in Sharon surrounded by his family, following a brave, twenty-month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
He was born on March 20, 1964, in Newport, VT, son of Arthur S. Judd and Carol Anita (Soutiere) Judd. Following his graduation from North Country High School, he earned his Associate's in Engineering and was awarded Engineering Technician of the Year from Vermont Technical College. He then began his 27- year career with Geokon in Lebanon, NH where he established the repair department, held titles of production manager, manager of electrical engineering and director prior to becoming Executive Vice President. He shared many stories of his travels for work at Geokon and the different cultures he had experienced around the world.
In 2003, Colin married Wendy (Willis) Judd and together with her brother started WAWECO auto repair. Their time together was too short as she passed away after a courageous battle with cancer herself.
Colin was an avid golfer. He enjoyed participating in annual tournaments and traveling to play on courses in Palm Springs and Pebble Beach, but St. Andrews in Scotland was one of his favorite trips. He rarely passed up the opportunity to play a few rounds with family, friends, and co-workers. He also enjoyed fishing and planning trips with his father and brother to Lake Berte in Canada for square-tailed trout.
Colin was a very intelligent man and deep thinker. He was a compassionate, caring, and very giving person. He was known for his infectious smile and calm demeanor.
In 2013, Colin and Ann-Marie began their devotion to each other, marrying in 2021. Together, they remodeled an old, 3 season camp which became their home, their happy place. He liked to sit on the deck enjoying the wildlife and peaceful surroundings. You would often find him out on his tractor looking for ways to improve the property. Colin was a loving, devoted husband who enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with family and friends. "The grandkids keep us young." He would say. Memorable moments for each of them were created by Grampie Colin, who was young at heart.
He was predeceased by his mother, nephew Milo Jewell and first wife, Wendy (Willis) Judd.
Colin is survived by his devoted wife, Ann-Marie (Williams) Judd of Sharon; his father, Arthur Judd and his wife Carolyn of Derby, VT ; his adopted son, Morgan Judd of VT; stepdaughters, Amanda Blake of VT and Shelby (Blake) Poutre and her husband, Jordan Poutre of Kentucky; grandchildren, Ryder, Kolten, and Raye-Lyn Ferrin and Aliyah Poutre; brothers, Scott A.
