Coleen (Pierce) Porter, lovingly known as Koko and Mimi, passed away on August 9, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Windsor, Vermont on October 22, 1950 to Scott and Bertha (Potwin) Pierce.  She married Gordon Kangas in 1965 and together they had two daughters before his death in 1974. She later married Lee Porter in 1978 and together they added a son to their family before parting ways several years later.

Coleen loved to travel, go dancing, snuggle with her kitties, and spend time with family and friends. In the hearts of those who knew her, Coleen's memory will forever remain vibrant. Her spicy, sassy personality that we all knew and loved stayed with her until the end.

Coleen is survived by her daughters, Bobbi Dickinson of White River Junction, VT, Pamela Hall of Joliet, MT, her son Jason Porter and his wife Diane of Freeport, ME. She is also survived by her mother Bertha Pierce, sister-in-law May Pierce, nieces Valerie and Jennifer, nephew PJ, and seven grandchildren: Marissa, Matthew, Shana, Lauryn, Zachary, Christopher, and Madison. Coleen was predeceased by her first husband Gordon, her father Scott, and her brother Patrick Pierce.

A celebration of life gathering to honor Coleen's life will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT on Saturday, August 12, from 2 – 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Upper Valley Humane Society, 300 Old Rte. 10, Enfield, NH 03748, a cause close to Coleen's heart.
