After high school Cody worked for a short time in construction and then later at Jiffy Lube in West Lebanon, NH. For the past several years he has worked as a bundler at Dartmouth Printing Company in Lebanon, NH. Because of his love for snowboarding he also kept a part time job at Whaleback Ski Area which entitled him to free riding when he wasn't making snow.

When he was younger he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Cody absolutely loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the shooting sports including archery, snowboarding, skateboarding, paint ball and riding his dirt bike. He had many trophies in archery. In 1995 following the tragic loss of his father and young brother in an automobile accident, the Hartford Rod and Gun Club gave Cody a life time honorary membership, a gift he cherished and used on a regular basis. Cody also enjoyed cooking. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially his two sons, Seth and Carter.
