Reading, VT- Clifford Earl Bishop, Jr., 89, died on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow, VT.

Cliff was born May 10, 1935, in Windsor, VT, a son of Clifford and Dorothy (Thurston) Bishop. He attended the Windsor Schools before going to work as a delivery driver for the Idlenot Dairy. He was married to Freida Mae Bowley on August 6, 1959, in Brownsville, VT and they made their home and raised a family in Reading. After many years with the dairy, Cliff transitioned to Rowlee Electric as an electrician until his retirement.

Cliff was an avid outdoorsman. In his younger years he spent many wonderful days hunting and fishing. His love of the outdoors and wildlife combined with an interest in photography and he began filming wildlife. This gave him an outlet to share the breathtaking moments that happened in the woods and the ability to share the awesome glory, peace, and tranquility of nature with those who did not share the love of hunting.

Cliff is preceded in death by his beloved wife Freida Bishop; and a brother Roger Bishop.

He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Bishop and wife Melody, and Timothy Bishop and wife Rayna, both of Reading, VT; a daughter, Ellen Bishop of Colorado; a sister, Maxine Mills of Claremont, NH; three grandchildren, Jason, Thomas, and Nicholas; other relatives and friends.

A private burial service will be held in Amsden Cemetery in Reading, VT at the convenience of the family.
