White River Junction, Vermont – Clare W. Chase, 94, died on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She was born on May 10, 1927, in Park Ridge, New Jersey, the daughter of Anthony and Victoria (Sobieszezyk) Woznicki. She graduated from Westwood, NJ High School in 1944 and worked for a year at Link Radio in New York City before moving to Vermont. On August 16, 1947, she married Raymond B. Chase who pre-deceased her in September of 1985. She was employed by Renehan-Akers Co. in White River Junction for 40 years until their closing and then worked for VNA/VNH for 20 years, retiring in April of 1994.

She enjoyed traveling and visited several European countries and many US states including Alaska and Hawaii.

At her request, there will be no visiting hours and burial will in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to VNH of Vermont and New Hampshire.
