PLAINFIELD, NH
Clara M. Perry, 101, a resident of Plainfield, passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, at the Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity, NH.
She was born February 20, 1914 in Grafton, VT the daughter of Frank and Mary E. (Smith) Ellis. She married Francis A. Perry in Windsor on June 17, 1934. Mrs. Perry owned and operated the Tiny Tot Nursery School at her home in Cornish for many years. She was later employed at the original Windsor Hospital and most recently as a Nutrition Specialist at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center for several years until her retirement. Clara maintained her own home until she was 100 years old, until moving to the Sullivan County Nursing Home.
Mr. Perry passed away on February 12, 1982. She was also predeceased by four daughters, Claire F. Broughton, Paula M. Martell, Dora L. Smith and Mary Jane Perry, by one son, Francis A. Perry, Jr., one grandson, Richard Broughton and one great granddaughter, Brandy Burridge, and by brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Marie A. Loranger of Alachua, FL, one son, Roland J. Perry of Unity, NH, 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, November 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Sheldon officiating. Committal services will follow in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Windsor.
