Clara Mae Lamica, 91, passed away Saturday, May 7 at the Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, VT.
She was born August 8, 1919 in Lyndonville, VT, the daughter and third child of Hector and Matilda (Chifflie) Moquin.
She married Leo I. Lamica in Hartland on April 30, 1938. Clara was an active member of the Weathersfield Bow Baptist Church. She was a homemaker all her life and a wonderful mother. She enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leo I. Lamica Sr. on October 17, 1993, a daughter Josephine Marsh, a son Leo I. Lamica, Jr, and by three sisters, Victoria Garcia, Marguerite "Maggie" Gilbert and Pauline Wilson.
Survivors include two daughters, Grace Magoon of Ascutney, VT and Jeananne Cardi of Claremont, NH, two sisters, Ella Perry of Windsor, VT and Roseanna Franklin of West Springfield, MA, one brother, Norman R. Moquin of Claremont, NH, thirteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, four great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 19, at 11:00 AM in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor, VT. The Rev. Walter McDaniels, Pastor of the Weathersfield Bow Baptist Church will officiate. The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT assisted with arrangements.
