Christopher E. Sayers, 47 died unexpectedly at his home Friday, April 29, 2016.
Chris was born August 1, 1968 in Randolph, VT a son of Edward and Patricia (Locke) Sayers. He attended the Chelsea Public School before leaving to roam the countryside. He worked for Mark Durkee butchering and later went to work for numerous construction companies throughout the area. He then moved to Trinidad, CA for about ten years where he worked in concrete and as a building renovator. Upon his return to Hartford he went to work as a house painter.
Chris was extremely artistic and a talented poet, he loved to feel the wind on his face when he was riding his motorcycle. Often he could be found woodworking or tinkering around the workshop, but one of his truest passions was horticulture. In his spare time he was devoted to helping out his elderly uncle and aunt Edward and Margaret Parker.
Chris is survived by his mother, Patricia D. Mahon of Hartford; his wife Amanda (Piper) Sayers of Middlebury, VT; a brother Edward R. Sayers, Jr. and his wife Maria of Corinth, VT; five sisters; Jennifer L. Young of Barre, VT, Angela D. Sayers Gaffney and husband Keith of Groton, VT, Sara Mahon Bush and husband Aaron of Saratoga, NY, Margaret Mahon Spooner and husband Jeremy of West Topsham, VT and Brianna R. Mahon and husband Fred Small of Sharon, VT; half siblings, Amber, Corrina, Sonia, and James; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held in Allis Park in Brookfield, VT at a later date.
