Weathersfield, VT – Charles B. Osgood, 73, beloved father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Weathersfield on October 23rd.
He was born and raised in Vermont and lived in Connecticut for 19 years before returning to Vermont.
Charlie worked at various jobs throughout the years but will most be remembered as doing anything for anyone who needed a hand. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars in Brattleboro and loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He was a true country music fan all of his life, especially the country singers of years ago.
He will be deeply missed by his family and numerous friends in both Connecticut and Vermont.
He was preceded in death, by his father Ralph Osgood, his mother Fannie LeClaire Osgood and by three brothers and five sisters.
Charlie is survived by his children Deborah Wagner and her husband Larry of East Hartford, CT; Richard Osgood and his wife Lori of Tolland, CT; Jennifer Doughty and her husband Bret of Willington, CT; Charlene Osgood of Manchester, CT and Scott Merrill and his wife Dustin of Windsor, VT; thirteen grandchildren; a brother Ralph Osgood and his wife Janice; a sister Dora and her husband Norbert; several nieces and nephews including his best friend and niece Shirley.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local veteran's organization in Charlie's memory.
