White River Jct., VT – Charles Vernon Handy, 56, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born March 29, 1961 in Framingham, MA the son of Charles Richard and Patricia Ann Handy.

Verne grew up in Lebanon, NH and graduated from Lebanon High School. He was a self employed building maintenance man and would keep busy with odd jobs. Verne was a great story teller and a master of jokes. He was said to be a happy go lucky guy.

Verne married Lisa (Picknell) LeMay on April 23, 2016.

He was predeceased by his parents Dick Handy in 2016 & Pat Handy 2008.

Verne is survived by his wife of White River Jct.; two daughters, Sharnay Handy of Lebanon, Miranda Handy of Hartford, VT; a brother, Jay Handy of Quechee, VT, two sisters, Colleen White and husband David of Wilder, VT, Paula and husband David of Myrtle Beach, SC, a granddaughter, a stepson David Spaulding and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT.
