LUDLOW, VT,
Carol A. Moses, 74, a resident of Ludlow and formerly of Windsor passed away Saturday morning, March 2, at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Hospice Unit in Windsor.

Carol was born December 21, 1938 in Hanover, NH, the daughter of Richard S. and June E. (Woodard) Packard. She grew up in Windsor and was married to Leon Earl Smith. They were married for many years before separating. He later passed away. She married Franklin M. Moses in Windsor on May 13, 1977. She worked at the Tip Top Bakery in White River Junction for many years and as a teacher's aide at the State Street School in Windsor. She most recently was employed in the Nutrition Department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH until her retirement.

Carol was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Windsor. She enjoyed cooking, both at work and for her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed curling up with a good book. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mr. Moses passed away on October 17, 1989. She was also predeceased by her parents and two brothers, George E. Packard, Richard S. Packard.

Survivors include her children, Richard M. Smith of Florida, Leona J. LeCouffe, Ronald R. Smith, both of Windsor, Jody E. Smith of Brownsville, VT, Robin M. Craig of Hartland, VT and Jason S. Moses of Ludlow, VT; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters Anita P. Jordan of Norwich, VT and Jane E. Scanton of Springfield, VT.

At her request there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center Hospice Program at 289 County Road, Windsor, VT 05089. The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor assisted with the arrangements.
