Fairlee, VT- Carol J. Mason, 74, died September 9, 2019 at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH.

Carol was a true Vermonter, born August 18, 1945 in Windsor, VT the daughter of Everett and Allegra (White) Hathorn. She graduated from Hartford High School class of 1964. She was married to Dennis C. Mason also in 1964. Carol stayed home and raised their children, and when they got to school age she went to work. She worked at Dana's by the Gorge during the summers and at Sears the rest of the years. She later went to work at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as a receptionist until her retirement. She loved dancing in her younger years. She helped out at the Sharon Food Shelf and loved life in general.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Dennis Mason of Fairlee, VT; a son D. Tyler Mason of Piermont, NH; a daughter Wendy L. Bosset of Dickinson, ND; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Lee Hathorn of West Hartford, VT.
