Carol Ann (Minard) Buskey, 67, Died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born in Hanover, NH in 1945 a daughter of Ronell and Claire (Marshall) Minard. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Burlington, VT in 1963, and went on to earn a degree from Champlain College in 1965. Carol was a dedicated parent whose priority in life was to raise her son Tom while also owning and operating a local business. Later in life, she returned to college to attain one of her proudest professional accomplishments when she graduated in 1991 from Claremont Technical College with a degree in nursing.
Carol worked for several years throughout the Upper Valley as a registered nurse. After retirement, Carol enjoyed traveling with her sister throughout the United States and became nationally recognized as a teacher of jewelry making and wool and fiber arts.
Carol was very fond of her annual trip to San Diego, CA where she would visit the zoo and stay in Old Town. She was a devoted NASCAR fan who had not missed a televised race since 1980. She also enjoyed visiting fiber festivals, swimming, gardening, and most of of all gathering with her family and friends especially her beloved grandchildren Nathanial and Christine.
Carol is predeceased by her infant son Peter William and two sisters Nancy Minard and Sally Trachier.
She is survived by her son Tom Buskey, his wife Ann, and their children Nathanial and Christine of Tewksbury, MA; a sister Joan Scruggs and her husband Rhett of Thetford, VT; a brother Bill Minard and his wife Sue of Richmond, VT; a sister Ellen Pelton and her husband Keith of Norwich, VT; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service was held.Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
