White River Junction, VT- Camilla A. Cook, 72, died unexpectedly at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
She was born February 1, 1943 in Thetford, VT a daughter of Lyndon L. and Aletha Emma (MacFarlane) Tatro. She attended the Post Mills School and later the Thetford Academy. She was married to Chester L. Cook on June 18, 1960 in Post Mills, VT. They later moved to White River Junction. She later proudly received her GED from Hartford High School.
Camilla enjoyed crochet, gardening, spending time with her dog, baking, working puzzles, playing cards and dice, in her later years traveling throughout the country. But what she loved most was the time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2571, American Legion Auxiliary Post 26 and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3 where she held a state office.
She is predeceased by her husband Chester L. Cook and a sister Linda Nelson.
She is survived by a son Fred R Cook of Lyme, NH, a daughter Carol Barraby of Cornish, NH, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Companion and friend, Denis Backus of White River Junction, and two brothers Dale Tatro of Wilder, VT and Stanley Tatro of Barnet, VT.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 at 2PM in the Evergreen Cemetery, South Strafford, VT. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
