QUECHEE, VT
Burt A. Rosenzweig, 56, a resident of Quechee, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, August 16, at his home in Quechee.
He was born April 22, 1959 in Hartford, CT the son of Jules and Renee (Hyman) Rosenzweig. He received his schooling in West Hartford, CT where graduated from Hall High School in 1977. He married Susan Altman on June 25, 1989 in Bloomfield, CT. He was a stay at home Dad and proudly raised his children. Burt was also a chef at trade and owned and operated an eatery in Bloomfield for several years, until moving to the Upper Valley in 2010. He currently owned and operated an ice cream business in Quechee.
He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid collector of antiques and toys. He was fond of riding on Vespa scooters and in antique cars. He took great pleasure in entertaining family and friends through his passion of cooking.
He was predeceased by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Susan J. Rosenzweig of Quechee, one son, Noah A. Rosenzweig of Quechee, two daughters, Alexis L. Rosenzweig and her fiancé, Kyle Canastra of Albany, NY, and Sarah L. Rosenzweig and her companion, Andrew Guillette of Brownsville, VT, his mother, Renee Rosenzweig of Boynton Beach, FL, one granddaughter, Kaylynn L. Canastra of Albany, two brothers, Lester Rosenzweig and his husband, Thomas Walling of Albany, and Gary Rosenzweig and his wife, Nancy of Manchester, CT several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor assisted with the arrangements.
