Springfield, VT – Brigette Eames, 35, was found dead in her home on Friday, July 19, 2019.  Brigette had battled with opiate addiction and mental illness for many years.  Her death was a suspected accidental overdose and/or heat stroke, but was found to be a result of side effects, combined with the heat, from the multiple pharmaceutical medications she was prescribed for her mental illness.

Brigette was born October 14, 1983 at the old Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, NH the daughter of Donald B. and Cynthia (Davis) Eames.  She grew up in Wilder, VT and attended Hartford High School and graduated from Vermont Community High School in 2004.  Brigette took college classes at Lebanon College and Community College of Vermont in psychology, art and creative writing.  She most recently worked cleaning a local Springfield Church.

Brigette loved to paint and draw. She is predeceased by her father who died April 17, 2018.

She is survived by her mother, Cindy Eames of Wilder, VT, two daughters, Lillianna Mongillo of Monkton, Canada, and Abigail Joi Eames of Wilder, VT, two sisters, Heidi Eames of Craftsbury Common, VT and Holly Bee of Quechee, VT, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Lebanon, NH on August 24, 2019 at 3 pm.
